Richard Bauernfeind's Profile

A 33 year resident of southern Oregon, Barney was raised in a small town in western Wisconsin and attended the University of Minnesota studying Speech/Broadcasting and Journalism. After college he started his advertising career working in the Twin Cities Minnesota for two radio stations, KDWB and KSTP and an independent newspaper. In the fall of 1979 he moved to Medford, Oregon joining the sales team for KBOY Radio, where he quickly rose to the position of General Sales Manager. In spring 1981 Barney joined the new KRWQ Radio Station as General Sales Manager. He served in that position for 8 years, moving on to become General Manager for KCMX Radio.
